These terms cover your use of the Autotab iOS app. Installing or using Autotab means you accept them.
Autotab is a tool for keeping records about your vehicles and for making sense of those records: costs, fuel economy, maintenance intervals, resale estimates, and readings from an OBD-II adapter.
Autotab is not a mechanic, and not a valuer. Maintenance schedules, cost forecasts, resale figures, health scores and fault-code explanations are estimates produced from your own data and from general guidance. They are not a substitute for your manufacturer's service schedule, a qualified technician's inspection, or a professional valuation. Never rely on Autotab for a decision that affects safety or money without checking it against a proper source.
Autotab is free to use for one vehicle, with fuel logging, expenses, documents and the warning-light guide, and with your whole history kept. Beyond that:
Subscriptions are offered monthly and annually, and there are one-off lifetime options. Where a free trial is offered, Apple allows one trial per subscription group per Apple Account.
All purchases are made through Apple, and Apple's terms govern the transaction. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. A subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the period ends; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the period. You can manage or cancel a subscription in iOS Settings ▸ your name ▸ Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not refund the current period. If a free trial is running when you subscribe, any unused part of it is forfeited.
We do not process refunds. Refund requests go to Apple, through reportaproblem.apple.com.
We may issue codes that unlock features without payment, for reviewers, press and testers. A code may be time-limited and may be withdrawn. Codes are not transferable and have no cash value.
Your records belong to you. We do not hold them, which also means we cannot recover them for you. Keeping a backup is your responsibility: Autotab can export a full backup file and per-vehicle CSV, and iCloud sync keeps a copy in your own iCloud account. Turning off iCloud sync, signing out of iCloud, or deleting the app can remove data permanently.
Please do not attempt to work around device verification, use the AI reader through anything other than the app, submit content you have no right to, or use Autotab to break the law. Scan allowances exist because reading an invoice costs us money; systematic attempts to exceed them may result in access to the hosted reader being withdrawn. You can always continue by adding your own provider key.
Autotab connects to third-party OBD-II adapters that we neither make nor endorse. A faulty adapter can affect your vehicle's electrical systems; use one at your own risk and follow its manufacturer's instructions. Performance-measurement features are for use on a closed course. Do not operate the app while driving. Obey the law and drive to the conditions.
Some features rely on services we do not control — Apple's iCloud, App Store and Maps, Anthropic's Claude API for reading invoices, and public data sources for recalls and exchange rates. Their availability and accuracy are not guaranteed by us.
We aim to keep Autotab working, but we do not guarantee that the app or the hosted reader will be available, uninterrupted or error-free, and features may change or be withdrawn between versions.
Autotab is provided "as is", to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for loss of data, vehicle damage, missed maintenance, financial loss, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for Autotab in the twelve months before the claim.
If you are a consumer, you keep all the statutory rights your local law gives you, and nothing here affects them.
Autotab, its name, its design and its code are ours. Manufacturer names and marques are the trademarks of their owners and are used only to identify vehicles; no affiliation or endorsement is implied. No brand logos are bundled with the app.
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed; continuing to use Autotab after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the law of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and its courts have jurisdiction — except where the law of the country you live in gives you the right to bring a claim locally, which it may.
